I am honored to be included in the 2015 Writers of the Wheat Festival to benefit the Wichita Children’s Home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Rhatigan Student Center on the campus of Wichita State University. Admission is free and the event is open to the public from 10-3. Come out and see me and my new book, The Animals’ Guide to Weather Around the World and Other Natural Wonders. My talented illustrator, Melanie Regier, will also be in attendance. I will be signing copies of both of my children’s books just in time for Christmas giving!
I will be a guest on The Brett & Sierra Show along with baseball legend, Steve Sax, on Monday, October 5, 2015. Steve played in the MLB for 18 years for the Dodgers and Yankees and was a former Rookie of The Year, 5 X All Star and 2 X World Series Champion. Steve will be in Wichita, Kansas to promote his non-profit, the Steve Sax Foundation along with my newest kid’s book, The Animals’ Guide to Weather Around the World and Other Natural Wonders.
I am on the board of advisers for his national foundation and I have also partnered with Steve by donating a portion of each book sold to further his goal of sending kids to college on scholarship. My books tie directly into the same principles as his foundation; teaching kids personal responsibility, self-reliance and confidence. The show will be broadcast at 4:30 on KSCW Channel 33, Cable Channel 5.
The purpose of the Steve Sax Foundation is to mentor young men and young ladies and to make an impact in their lives physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. The curriculum is based on Steve’s book SHIFT: Change Your Mindset-Change Your World, that is endorsed by Donald Trump.
