Tony Mattivi is the current Director of the KBI and a former federal prosecutor. He retired as an Assistant United States Attorney and the Antiterrorism and National Security Coordinator for the District of Kansas.
His prosecution of the southwest Kansas militia members who plotted to blow up an apartment building in Garden City was portrayed in the Hulu documentary The Informant: Fear & Faith in the Heartland. Tony speaks on Patriotism, Leadership and OPT 6 Heroism, based on his experience prosecuting members of Saddam Hussein’s regime for war crimes in Iraq and his five years as the lead prosecutor on the USS Cole terrorist attack that killed 17 American sailors.
